Keeping Tiktokkers talking about the Euros 2020
With TikTok sponsoring the Euros 2020, the task was to keep people engaged with all that went on during the tournament. Cue face flag filters, choreographed celebration dances, players v fans skill-offs, most passionate fans competition and much more. We kicked off with an emoji-based route using fan UGC as well as next day match footage.

Heroing our heroes.
Using match footage and fan UGC, we created several hype videos of our best performers – the Raheem Sterling version featured the tournament soundtrack by Krept & Konan.
In for a Tweet.
Pre-game, in-game, post game. Tiktok’s Twitter account was lively throughout the tournament and it was great fun staying up to date with all that trended as well as commenting on moments as they happened during each game.

The Twelfth Man.
Fans play a huge roll in tournaments as big as the Euros, so we put it to the public to decide which fans were the best. There was a wide range of criteria – from noisiest to most talented, we used a combination of fan UGC and post match footage to aid our poll.

Tribute to a TikTok legend.
During the Euros it emerged that famous TikTokker, Khaby Lame, had actually actually out-done TikTok themselves with an enormous 61.6 million followers. We decided to be graceful and give him the acknowledgment he deserved by producing a homage to him through a massive piece of street/wall art, situated near his home in Italy.
